Arthur “Little Thoughts” Cambridge is a Dachshund aficionado, Producer and DJ who is regularly making appearances for parties in Bristol, London and beyond, such as Happy Daze, Carousel, The Gathering, TechYES, Acidic Records, Elixir of Life, Shapes (Bristol) and many more. He has played supporting sets for System 7, Bbanco de Gaia and Dreadzone, at Inspiral Lounge as well as a memorable Parachute set at Whirl-Y-Gig.
His original productions stand on their own merits, and since his first album “Different Thinking” is productions have continued to go from strength to strength. His original track, “Mombasa” became a favourite whirl-y-tune for many. He currently produces and DJs a range of music, from Chill-out to Psychedelic to House and dance floor; aiming to achieve a sound that encompasses warm soulful and uplifting vibes across the genres. To him quality music is key, and this shines through in his work.
In addition to his solo work as Little Thoughts, he is also one half of duo ‘Technical Thoughts‘ with fellow dachshund-loving producer ‘Technical Pillow‘. He co-runs Dachshund Records with Flutterbyone and Technical Pillow. And together they are launching the label with summer, with some great releases planned from talented members of the Dachshund Records family. Their initial release will be a free compilation (Out in time for Arriri) showcasing the Dachshund sound, with subsequent artist releases throughout the year.
Most recently he has been working on new productions, churning out new material at a prodigious rate (as can be seen from his Soundcloud page), Including a recent release ‘Mbi Gung Swa’ on Aliji’s ‘Timeless Gems From the Vaults and Fields’ collection on Iboga Records. He has still found time to play at various festivals, such as Gottwood, Ozora (with Technical Thoughts), Boomtown, Secret Garden Party, Noisily and many others. Playing to a festival crowd is where he is really in his element and loves to read the crowd and take his listeners on a journey, playing an eclectic mix of music that moves the body and the soul.
“I designed this mix for home listening, perhaps in an after-party situation – it is just a collection of tracks that I am influenced by and am really enjoying listening to right now. They are all electronic, but with organic, human elements that give them heart and soul. It is fairly chilled and introspective at times. I wanted it to take the listener on a journey, from start to finish and to evoke a range of emotions.“
